Primavera Sound Barcelona

Lets reassess and celebrate Swervedriver again, go on. Mythical album (Mezcal Head, in 1993) that appears on every best shoegazing album list. Shot. Oneiric melodies wrapped in distortion. Shot! A personal sound, a harder one, almost grunge, that sets them apart from their peers. Shot!! Recent activity that brings their music into the present (Future Ruins, on Mogwai’s label). Shot!!! Let’s all have another round, as, the Oxford band has covered so much ground that their music can no longer be described with narrow labels (shoegaze, dream pop…) but only using broader categories: noisy and lasting rock.
