Primavera Sound Barcelona

Dum-dum-dum-dum-dum, dum-dum-dum-dum… What are those drums echoing beyond the green canopy? And those howls which are interlaced with the lianas? If you dare to push your way through the vegetation and venture into the jungle you will be rewarded. In that clearing at the end of the path are Maika (Makovski), Olaia (Bloom) and Mariana (Pérez) unleashing their raucous riot garage punk: The Mani-las in their natural habitat. This project whose name was chosen by pure and happy coincidence – at concert in, Manila, of course – likes to provoke, to brag, to shout and to pervert both music and words. Take a look at their social media and get ready to have a laugh with the neologisms these three rascals have come up with. Gorilos, gorilas, get out your stomping boots and dress to sweat because manilism is on the rampage. Or should we say wo-manilism?  (that one’s from us, Mani-las!)
