Grandaddy cancel their tour and Arab Strap join the line-up

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Grandaddy will not play at this edition of Primavera Sound. Due to the death of their bassist and co-founder Kevin García of a stroke on 2nd May, the Californian band has decided to cancel their tour, during which they were going to play in the Parc del Fòrum on Friday 2nd June.

In their place Arab Strap will join the festival, sadcore reference duo and legendary name from the Scottish scene that, after splitting in 2006, reunited last year to mark the twentieth anniversary of their formation. A unique opportunity to revisit their impressive albums “Philophobia”, “The Red Thread” and “The Last Romance”, on which the duo laid down in stone a collection of lugubrious folk with hints of electronic and atmospheric soundscapes.
